The Meaning of a Moment

The Meaning of a Moment

A moment is a very brief period of time, also formally defined as “importance”. In Physics a moment is a turning effect for a distance on an object. For an example let’s take a door, the moment of a force is how effectively we can cause the door to open. If you push near the hinges it is hard to move. If you push at the edge of the door, it will open easily.

Think of yourself as the door and the mundane as its hinges. The closer your moment of force is to the mundane, the harder it will be for you to open up. The further away you get from the mundane, the more impactful the moment of force will be. The point is to open up and step into a clearer mindset.

A moment is an important period of time to move into your mind. Meditation, movement, stillness, silence, singing, communion, nourishment, dancing, laughing, crying, breath, hands in dirt, hands in clay, hands to the sky. It is a gift to yourself to be fully present in good times AND bad times. When we are present with ourselves we can process, amend, and manifest. Then we can understand what it means to truly be alive.

May you always find a moment of appropriate force to rotate your life into the light.
